- "I am Malien, Matah of the Aachim of Santhenar."
- ― Malien
Once the lover of Tensor, Malien's union with him resulted in the birth of Rael. Malien later cast off Tensor and became one of the Aachim's most respected leaders, as well as a legend due to her role at the Time of the Mirror; during which she strived for the good of all the human species, rather than just the Aachim.
Malien later took up residence at Tirthrax, where she was honoured, but ostracised by her people for her actions, which sought to benefit people not only of Aachim descent. She was also instrumental in rediscovering the secret of flight with Tiaan Liise-Mar and was an important figure in the later days of the Lyrinx War, siding with humanity, but later aiding the lyrinx to escape Santhenar. After the God-Emperor Jal-Nish Hlar rose to power, Malien went into hiding, not to be seen until shortly before the end of the war that saw the end of the God-Emperor.
Early Life Edit
Born in 178 BTM, to Aachim parents descended from the great heroine Elienor, in the eastern Aachim city of Stassor, Malien quickly established herself as a master of the Secret Art. Malien eventually became partner to Tensor, who she believed had the potential to become the greatest Aachim of all time. Malien and Tensor eventually had a son together; Rael. Malien and Tensor's relationship eventually failed and Malien renounced her power to use the Secret Art, due to the follys of her former lover.
However, Malien would often visit Shazmak, so as to be involved in her beloved sons life. There she came into contact with a distant kinswoman of hers, Karan Fyrn and defied Tensor, by ensuring that Karan was well educated in her ancestory, which dated back to Elienor herself, much like Malien's. During one such visit, in 0 BTM, Malien would come to Shazmak, to discover it in ruins and many of the Aachim there dead, before journeying to Thurkad to attempt to discover what had transpired. There Malien met several other Aachim in a villa owned by Tensor, to learn that the Ghâshâd had returned; laying siege to Shazmak. She also learnt that shortly before hand, her beloved son Rael was killed.
