Vivimord, commonly known under his alias of Monkshart, was a powerful mancer, as well as the former chief lieutenant of Scrutator Jal-Nish Hlar; serving under him during the Battle of Gumby Marth. Vivimord nursed his master back to health and rescued the Profane Tears from the lyrinx, following their armies defeat at Gumby Marth and was dreadfully scarred by the touch of the tears.

Shortly after Jal-Nish declared himself God-Emperor of Santhenar, Vivimord revoked his oath to him, believing no man had the right to declare themself God. Vivimord became an important figure in the formation of the Defiance and created a stronghold at Tifferfyte.

Under the name of Monkshart, Vivimord sought to use the newly freed Cryl-Nish Hlar as a means to destroy the God-Emperor and manipulated him by any means he could. Vivimord was killed when facing a trial by ordeal, and his spirit became trapped in the shadow realm.
